So the holiday season is upon us, and with that comes the stressful time of making sure that everything is planned down to the finest military exercise. As well as making sure everything is in place, we will find ourselves wanting to be plucked, polished and groomed for our week away. I myself have been trying to get my hair trimmed in the salon for my holiday this week. I can't tell you how hard that is when we are all so busy!! I begged poor Sophie for a tincy wincy trim in her spare 10 minutes today poised with her lunch half eaten ( you know I love you Sophie ) . Why do we do it? I'm not sure really, let's face it when we finally get over the stressful packing, sorting the kids bags out after they've unpacked them for the third time, turned back for the passports as we 'thought he'd packed them', seven hours on a stuffy plane sat next to the guy who wanted to sit in your seat as well as his own, waiting for your bag 'always the last off' and finally reaching your destination hot and sweaty and very 'un groomed'!!!!
Let me this week introduce you to the very gorgeous Emma Metcalfe. I have worked with Emma from the very start of her career and I have quite literally watched her blossom into a very beautiful and talented hair stylist. Emma has a natural flare for foiling and her ombre technique is hands down the best Iv seen in my 25 years of hairdressing. Emma lives with her partner Ollie and her cat Prince. Emma and Ollie are planning a wedding in October which we are all looking forward to.As well as being a talented hairstylist Emma likes to spend time with her two sisters, family and friends. Emma loves Loyalty,Shopping, Mac Lipstick, hot days and Prosecco. Emma dislikes mushrooms..yuckkkk.. People who cut you up in a car... grrrr...not having enough sleep and scary films.. Holiday hair fact:: Sunshine and swimming can play havoc with your hair. But though most people wouldn't dream of jetting off to the sunshine without a bumper bottle of high protection sun cream, how many of us remember to pack some pampering products for our hair? Not many for sure...Do you??? After a few days of sun and sea, even the most healthy, glossy hair can deteriorate into a frazzled mess !! It's a good idea to treat your hair to regular deep conditioning treatments a couple of weeks before your departure date, so that it's in peak condition for your holiday. Continue the treatments every three or four days while you are away and then every three to four weeks after you get back, to maintain the hair's moisture levels. Try and keep your hair covered up as much as possible and treat yourself to a uv protection spray (we sell them in the salon.... Just saying!!) Happy holidays.... Xxx

Ah, I wish I'd known you sell UV protection spray . I tried tried Boots & Superdrug before I went to Portugal and couldn't find any. I'll be buying some from you before I go to Turkey in September . Have a good holiday V. X
